What Helys is
Helys is a hosted tool that collects publicly listed funding opportunities, scores them against a profile you write, and helps you manage applications. You get a workspace; we keep it running.
Your account
You must be able to form a contract to use Helys. You sign in with passkeys, and you are responsible for the devices those passkeys live on and for anyone you invite into your workspace.
Your content is yours
Everything you put into Helys — your profile, statements, work samples, drafts, applications — stays yours. We store and process it only to run the service for you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.
What we ask of you
- Do not use Helys to break the law or to misrepresent yourself to a funder.
- Do not upload material you have no right to upload.
- Do not attack the service or try to reach another workspace’s data.
- Do not resell access to your workspace.
About the AI
Scores, extracted deadlines and amounts, and drafted text are produced by a language model and can be wrong. They are a starting point, not advice and not a guarantee. Check every deadline, eligibility rule, amount and factual claim against the funder’s own listing before you rely on it or submit anything. You are responsible for what you send to a funder.
No promises about outcomes
Helys does not promise that you will find, qualify for, or win any grant. It does not promise that every relevant opportunity will appear: sources change, feeds break, and some calls are never syndicated at all.
Paying
Trials are free and need no card. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, which handles the card details and the receipts — we never see your card number. Prices are on the pricing page; if one changes we will tell you before it affects you.
Cancelling and suspension
Cancel any time in the billing portal; you keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. After that, or after an unpaid trial ends, the workspace locks: it stops running and you cannot open it. Nothing is deleted automatically. We may suspend a workspace immediately if it is being used to attack the service or to break the law.
Deleting your data
Ask and we will delete your workspace and its backups. We will confirm when it is done. Locked workspaces are kept so you can come back; if you want one gone, tell us.
Availability
Helys is provided as it is, without warranties. We run backups and we try hard, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Helys after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States.
